About the Club

The club was established in 2001 to provide the opportunity for youngsters from Eccleshall and the surrounding areas to play football. It is an FA Charter Standard Club, affiliated to the Staffordshire FA. The Eagles run teams from Under 7 up to Under 15 age groups, with the youngest players starting training aged 5. Boys and girls of any ability are welcome. All Managers and Coaches are FA qualified, CRC checked and have attended Child Protection workshops.

The club believes that its players are its most valued asset and their welfare is paramount at all times. There are strict codes of conduct for Managers, Players and Parents and it expects these to be observed at all times.

Guy Bradshaw, UK General Manager at Entity Group and parent of two of the club’s players says:

“Football should be fun and enjoyable but we also want our teams to be competitive and it is our goal to make the youngsters we coach better players and to find the right level for them to play. It was great that Entity Group was able to sponsor the new jackets and even better to have something else to tease my boys about!”

A new home for the club at Eagles Park

In September 2016, the club moved to a new home for teams from Under 11 upward to play. Eagles Park is a brand new ground with space for pitches for all age groups, along with a brand new clubhouse including 4 changing rooms. The new site at Drake Hall, Eccleshall, has room for three full-sized pitches, more junior /mini soccer pitches and a clubhouse that is now the permanent home of Eccleshall Eagles Junior Football Club.

The brand new clubhouse has an entrance room which has great views of the nearest two pitches for those who need some shelter and warmth when watching football. There is a small kitchen which serves teas, coffees and snacks on game days. For the players and officials, we have two good sized changing rooms, complete with showers and toilets. There are also two separate referee changing rooms. The ground is amongst the best in Staffordshire for junior football and a fantastic place for children from Eccleshall and the surrounding area to enjoy their football. Kate Tickner concludes:

We look forward to hearing about the future development of the club and we are happy to have been able to help invest in the future of these aspiring footballers
